Due to higher education regulation changes effective July 1, 2011, Wake Forest University is currently authorized to enroll students residing in only the following states and territories in its online degree programs: CO, CT, HI, MI, NC, RI, SC, SD, VT, VI (Virgin Islands), VA, TX, CA, GA, DE, AK, ID, MS, MT, NE, ND, and UT. In many locations, authorization is pending and students may likely be able to enroll in Wake Forest’s online degree programs. Please call our office to determine this status is you live in FL, PA, MD, ME, OK, AZ, IN, NV, WV, WA, DC, NJ, NM or PR.

Each state’s counseling licensure board determines the licensing requirements for candidates seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) designation. If you wish to enroll in one of our online offerings and are located in NH, MO, KS or IL, please note that no purely online degree, including that offered by Wake Forest, is sufficient for licensure as an LPC in those states. However, this limitation regarding online courses does not apply to either the school counselor track within the Master of Arts in Counseling program or the Master of Arts in Human Services.
